Ever since I was a little girl I loved cooking. I learned how to cook growing up in the kitchen.  It was fun to watch my mom pull dishes together without any cookbooks or recipes.   Somehow by just watching her I memorized her technique and the ingredients she used.  Of course, it all smelled, looked, and tasted so good.  I wanted to create the type of dishes that my mom did, and she encouraged me to do so.

I have been sharing my dishes and recipes with my family ever since. First, I taught my three children how to cook. Next, and presently, I spend some time teaching my four grandkids!  That said, I believe kids are naturally curious in the kitchen.  Cooking or baking with kids is easy when you prepare menus in advance. My kids and grandkids also learned how to wash dishes and clean sinks. Especially, after pouring out many bottles of dish soap.

Sixteen years ago, when I learned that I had cancer, I decided to leave my full-time career and enrolled into a culinary art school. During my year long treatment, I became a chef. After I became a chef, I became a breast cancer survivor. Through it all, my faith in God has been unswerving. Sixteen years later cancer free! Now-I want to share my love for God, love for family and friends, love for creativity, and the love of food and life with you!
