The Best Ever French (Asparagus) Fries--who says they have to be potato?

I love potato French fries! I do not love all the oil, carbohydrates, and extra calories.  So I found a great alternative to the potato French fry.  VOILÀ!  French Asparagus Fries but roasted in the oven.  Cooked in the oven at a high baking heat, these roasted veggies come out crispy, crunchy, and fantastic tasting.  And there is no need for additional condiments like ketchup or tartar sauce to add flavor to this vegetable.  In addition to how delicious these asparagus fries are, the ease in which to prepare and roast them is so convenient and fast.

1 Small bunch of fresh thin asparagus; rinsed, and then dried

1-2 Tbsp. Olive Oil

Salt or Seasoning Salt to taste

Heat oven to 450 degrees.

In a shallow roasting pan or cookie sheet, pour in olive oil, add asparagus and salt or seasoning salt.  Put pan into oven and set timer to 20 minutes.  Remove pan at end of time and let cool for 5 minutes.  Asparagus are ready for munching alone or leave some for serving with the rest of your meal.  So good.  You are going to love them!  Warning: Asparagus French fries are additive.
